The Southern Nevada Hispanic Employment Program (SNHEP) is a tax-exempt 501-C3 community based organization whose primary objective is to increase the viability and recognition of the Hispanic Community in Southern Nevada. The SNHEP Scholarship Program is one of the many vehicles used by our organization, to ensure that Hispanic students are provided assistance to achieve advanced educational opportunities.

SNHEP is currently accepting scholarship applications for the 2010 SNHEP Scholarship Luncheon and Conference. For eligibility criteria and other details, please download the 2010 SNHEP Council Scholarship Application.

SNHEP Programs

Youth Council members assist in fulfilling SNHEP’s vision to empower Hispanics in promoting higher education and community involvement and leadership. 

SNHEP Members are expected to be in attendance at all Youth Council meetings and community projects.

All volunteer hours will be tracked to benefit Youth Council Members’ leadership experience and volunteer hours. Parents are welcome to attend meetings and community involvement projects.

SNHEP Workshops

The Southern Nevada Hispanic Employment Program Council hosts workshop training events that cover a full range of workplace related topics.

All workshops are open to both employers and individuals. Each workshop is reasonably priced at around $40 per participant and all proceeds go towards funding scholarships that will be awarded during our Annual Conference.


The SNHEP Winter Wear program

SNHEP partners with local elementary schools to collect coats and assorted winter clothing during the months of October through December to distribute to schools with a high population of homeless students.

We can pick up clothing directly from you. Please use our contact form to schedule a pick-up.

We hope you will join us this year in providing warm winter clothing to children in need.
